Re: [Island to Shore: Dami & Misha]
I'm real lucky I got you to show me what's what. [Misha knew this teasing was just a precursor to whatever they found outside this submersible, and he knew he should surface serious things, just like they ought to get to the shore real quick and face the things waiting. But he was having a hard time rushing this, and he knew he was stalling. Truth was he'd been real upset at finding himself on that damn island. Every time he managed to convince himself the time lapses were gone, or that he'd just fabricated them, they happened again, and Misha couldn't pretend 'bout them any longer. He'd tried to kill a boy and didn't recall. For all he knew, he'd killed that man on the shore and couldn't remember it any. He didn't remember talking filthy to Louis, and he knew folks weren't making these things up to be malicious. It meant that he wanted to hold onto this moment here real tightly.
Once Misha had the hoodie back on over his head, he reached out long fingers to help settle Damian's curls. He liked touching the other boy, even idle, and could be that was plenty evident. He kept touching long after Damian's thick, dark hair was back to behaving, even if there wasn't any real purpose in the movement of his fingers.] You're here on account of me needing you here. You're real good to me, and you come whenever I need. [The tip of chin made Misha draw back some little and laugh, and he brought both hands to Damian's hips. He knew he needed to let the other boy go, let him take his medicine and get this submersible moving, but his fingers still clung tight to hipbone 'neath denim.] I wasn't worried 'bout things happening to you when I couldn't reach you before. I know it was madness, but I was so sure I could help if you needed it, and now I know I ain't capable of that. I don't like how it feels any. The man last night, I told him I could keep him from drowning, and I let the fool damn near die.
[It was ill-placed, but Misha kissed Damian real boyish, hard, eager, and then he drew back again.] 'Fore we move, we need to talk 'bout you and the woman. It ain't all 'bout me.
