He turned his head to look when she indicated the crowd. It didn't take him very long to return his attention to her - nothing about the crowd particularly held his attention. He had no desire to cross the room to join them, no particular desire to leave her at the bar. He was silent as he looked at her, not diverting his gaze again to the group.
"Do you think I'm looking to be sociable?" The muscles beneath his eyes tightened, and he shook his head. "If you're wanting me to leave, I will. Or you can. But I'm not going over there." There was no doubt in his voice, and he took another drink from the glass in his hand.
