Re: Deck chairs; sitting.
Nobody didn't care about names. His brain just didn't swing that way. It was almost too existential. Maybe he was selfish. Maybe he was selfish, but he didn't get to show it, so tonight he was making it a thing. That last bit sounded right, but the general concept was that names didn't matter. They agreed on that point. He couldn't be this guy when the sun rose, so who cared what they called themselves? Not him. And if you hadn't figured it out yet, he wasn't much of a wanter. He wasn't a giver. He wasn't much of anything, but that could just be the bottle. It was anyone's guess. It was Nobody's guess.
Philosophy made him yawn. Not his thing, sorry. He didn't want to think too hard on tomorrow or tonight, not the way his neighbor did. He only cared in that the other guy seemed to think he was limited in doing whatever he wanted. A person could always do what they wanted. Were there consequences? Sure there were consequences, but that didn't mean you couldn't jump in the water with your clothes on. It just meant you'd catch a chill.
The kissing was immediate, present, and that was more up his alley, even if he wasn't sure about this whole voyage to discovery he'd embarked on. But you never knew if you didn't try, and he wasn't the type to beat up queers on sidewalks. The hand on his cheek was bigger and rougher than he was accustomed to, and he got around enough to know how a girl's hands felt on his skin.
Call him a dumb motherfucker, but he wasn't expecting the tongue.
The wet press to lips he'd unknowingly parted came as a surprise, and he had the wrong reaction. Could be it was the right reaction, but it was definitely a reaction. He cursed, shoved at the guy's chest, shoved away and fell on his ass on the deck. Fabric rended as some part of that blue suit refused to hold itself together, much like its wearer. "Fuck." He stood, one pointed shoe almost slid off the deck, but he righted himself easily and scraped a hand through his hair. His palm came to rest on the back of his neck. He almost apologized, but not tonight. Fuck.
