Re: The Woods -> The Deck
She was bargain-basement saving material. If you were looking for heroics, this girl wasn't it. She wasn't going to faint even if the dress was tight and she was feeling like the kind of woman who was careless with hearts rather than the kind who gave away favors to joust with. She got the concept, okay, she got the white horse and the lance and the death to the dragon but secretly she was kind of on the dragon's side and white knighting was a little more selfish than selfless. It was attention and she respected anyone who wanted to soak in a little adulation. Adoration was like champagne and she had lost her glass but she still appreciated the play.
The knight smiled and it was a little Sphinx-like. All riddle and no answer. It was a tease and god she was good with games. Even if it was couched in language so old as to be antique. She didn't like behaving. She had a night off from manners and on her shoes she was tall, hell in clinging red curves and she smiled as if she was giving a favor.
She didn't mind being touched. She noticed, because she was the kind of woman tonight who saw in between the lines at least, where the lines were on her. She flexed her foot, and she withdrew it from his grip, and liege was pushing the boat out to sea.
"Isn't liege meant for lords?" She wondered this aloud, and she checked with a hand whether she still had tits. Yeah, she was curvaceous not courtly and she liked the idea of a lie. A really good one, a full out, drop dead, completely unbelievable lie. The lady had form and she put a hand on the knight's shoulder and she stood. "Do I get to be the hero?" Her smile was sheer drop.
