Re: [Woods: Patrick & Raven]
"Dude, you can't just smile out of the blue without giving me some guidance here. Have some pity on a guy, lady." Patrick wasn't actually annoyed. It took a lot to annoy this guy. He was easy-going in the extreme, dude. Okay, so maybe he blew up when pushed far enough, but that was true of everyone, my dudes, and make no mistake. There was no ire in his words, is the point. His grin remained, and he didn't straighten from that easy, cross-arm slouch as he considered next steps. Patrick wasn't a genius, as we've established, but he could think crap through, man, if he was just given enough time to do it. The problem with Patrick was that he usually got bored before he actually made it to any conclusion, and so nothing happened. But he was trying, dude, because this required some serious consideration. Like every other little boy in the world, Patrick had wanted to be a knight when he was a kid, man. Wait. Was that sexist? Crap. It was probably sexist.
Then girlfriend howled.
Seriously, dude, what was it with this girl? "Did Dahl send you to fuck with me?" he asked. He wouldn't put it past Dahl to do that, especially since he'd been piling on the shit about her loooooooove for Con. But this was too complex, and he huffed and blew blond hair off his forehead. "All right, this is what we're going to do. You're going to show me where you live."
He drew a house in the air with his fingers, steepled roof and everything. "House." He pointed at her. "Yours. Where is it?" He looked around, like he was trying to find this house.
