Re: [Woods: Patrick & Raven]
Patrick slowing down was a relative thing, my dude. He talked less. Maybe that was the same as slowing down, but Patrick wasn't particularly slow. He was a guy in constant motion, and he tripped over his words instead of his feet. He was fidgeter, get it? He was the dude that liked to toss a ball in the air while he talked. But, he said less, which maybe felt like slowing down, so score one for the blond with the pointy ears. But, man, Patrick was charm and bravado with the ladies, and he wasn't sure what to make of one that didn't talk.
But, she quirked a brow, dude, and that felt like comprehension. Maybe chick was mute. She nodded again, and she stepped out from behind the tree, and maybe Con wasn't going to flay his corpse for badly treating a lady. A lady with really slow blinks, dude, and, hello!, he wasn't a doc, but he knew that shit was odd. He followed her glance to the lookout, and then he nodded for too long, like he was interacting with someone on the slow bus. "Right on, woodlady. That's where I work. You've seen me?" He tapped his chest with the flat of his palm in query. "I've seen you, but you always disappear." He lifted his hand from his chest and made a starbust motion with his fingers. "Poof!" He pointed at her. "You, man, you do that."
