Re: [Capital: Gwen & Flash]
"The probability that you were testing me is minimal," Gwen insisted, but she could tell he was smiling, and that was super good. She was kind of worried that maybe he was too messed up for that. And, while she understood that the smiling, in and of itself, wasn't an indication that he was okay, she thought it was a good sign regardless. But she liked the city a lot too, which she suspected was inherited, seeing as she'd never even seen the sky before last year. But it was nicer than Repose, which she suspected was illogical. But she wasn't super concerned about logic (which was super weird, but she didn't care tonight), and she just held on tighter than required as he navigated the turns.
She didn't need his hand to remove herself from the motorcycle, but she took it anyway, and she pulled the helmet off and set it down on the bike's seat (for him to secure). "There are theories about why the city was abandoned. The theory the city council seem to want to endorse involves it being easier to built atop the remains, but I don't think that makes a lot of financial sense. Regardless, there are reports of an entire city beneath this one, with a rich cultural landscape. I'm super surprised they haven't closed it down. I think the local government must be profiting from the black market sales rumored to be rampant below."
She waited for Reaper to settle, and she reached out and traced the spider with her fingertips. "I've totally been working on a suit," she informed him, and she pulled her hand back and tipped her head toward the approach and drop-off point.
She talked as she walked, easily climbing the jagged rocks and hopping down the numerous feet from upper level to drop-off point... without utilizing any gear. She landed perfectly, and she looked back at him until she was sure he was with her again. "Reports indicate the main entrance opens out on a marketplace. There's a food court-type location beyond that. Beyond that are the the super interesting things, including the vendors we're going for, but there's a lot of nefarious stuff beyond, so we should totally go in there with a plan." She looked over at him. They were just shy of the main entrance now, which was illuminated by torches and trashcan fires. "Do we want to look capable, or are we totally some lost college kids?" It was super evident she wasn't scared of any of this. In fact, she kind of liked missions. They were a new thing for her, but she felt super capable when she was working, and it was possible that she really liked the challenge of it. Her seafoam eyes were bright as she looked up at him.
