Re: [Capital: Gwen & Flash]
Flash tilted his head to the side and tried to get a read on her. He could see how she fell back on to-the-point phrasing while they were on the forums and he knew that wasn't a good sign. Now, it was like they were trying to be Flash and Gwen, like the duo that broke into the Tethys lab and saved the day. But, maybe that wasn't so bad? Flash started having feelings for her there, seeing her in action and quirky differences she had from Froyo. Gwen still had this fire in her that somehow managed to die off in Froyo before she even turned twenty.
"Language, yo." Flash grinned when she swore and waited for her to jump on the bike behind him. Her arms around his waist felt good, made him feel a little fucking doofy and that was a good sign, right? He brushed his fingers across the back of her hand and then leaned forward. Reaper slowly building a helmet around his head with sticky, black goop. When Gwen said hello, Reaper chirped back in response. Black goop momentarily hugging her back somehow before returning to the unassuming black jacket.
"Why the fuck do you think they call me Flash?" He grinned, snapping his visor down and revving the engine. Yeah, well, he called himself Flash, but people caught on! The motorcycle shot off into the night fast enough to give anyone butterflies. The Repose streets were bare and it was a good twenty minutes before other cars started to appear. Flash didn't bother trying to slow down, he weaved through trucks, sedans and RVs, only slowing down when Reaper sensed police nearby. Actually, it wouldn't even matter if they got pulled over. There was no AEGIS badge, but Flash was given a tactical spec ops title as cover and it worked better than being royalty in England.
When the Capital's city lights started to glimmer in the distance, Flash noticeably relaxed. It had been a slow burn for him, the mix of high speed motorcycling and the sight of a city that almost looked like NYC if you squinted made him feel less like a fucking outsider freak. Flash reached to touch her hand again, running his fingers up her arm. "I'm glad we did this." He said and slowed down as they reached city limits.
"Do you know where the entrance to Second City is?" He asked while they were at a stop light.
