Re: Capital: Misha/Damian/Jason
Misha was real focused on looking 'round. He was fixed on looking 'round, really, and it was deliberate as could be. He knew he felt bad, and that there wasn't any good reason for it, and he reasoned he could focus on something else and make it go away. That worked with a whole lot of things during Misha's treatments, just focusing elsewhere, but Damian came and sat by him, and that made Misha's attention shift to the boy beside him. He looked real confused a moment, like he didn't understand how he'd misunderstood where Damian was going, and that tripping, it was the medicines sure as could be. Wasn't any secret he'd had a harder time managing the treatment this week, and he blinked real clear blue a moment later, after realizing Jason was at the bar getting the drinks instead of Damian.
Damian, he was real close, and Misha breathed deep a spell. Then, the boy leaned. He was cool against Damian, head to the boy's shoulder, and he reckoned it felt more private sunk deep into the couch cushions some. He gave his hand up real easy, then he tugged Damian's hand onto his lap, and he looked on down at Damian's fingers. "You like your brother fine. He seems real sweet, worrying after you. Not that you need worrying after." He added that last bit on the sliver of grin, a knowing that Damian would've protested if Misha didn't add in the caveat. He looked on up, attention lifting from the joined hands to Damian's face. His smile was small, but it was a definite smile unquestionable. "You reckon I'm stupid?"
He was looser now, and it was real evident. Misha, he went dull like a bulb gone dim, but he brightened easy. He wasn't a boy made for maelstroms any. Head on Damian's shoulder, he looked on over at Jason when Damian called out 'bout being followed. "I bet you'd follow him if you looked on down at your phone and saw he disappeared." His knee overlapped Damian's deliberate, and he considered the boy at the bar. "He ain't regular somehow." That was musing aloud, and he wasn't sure whether that helped or hindered thinking this whole thing was a real elaborate delusion.
