Re: [Gunster Dinner]
Patrick thought Felicity sounded like exactly the kind of person his sis would like, but she didn't sound special to the guy who hadn't ever talked about anything weird. She sounded like every girl Patrick had dated in high school, which didn't mean there was anything wrong with her, man, it wasn't like that. Patrick liked uncomplicated chicks as much as the next guy, but they didn't have a lot of staying power in the brainpan, if you get the drift. He was rolling his eyes when Con mentioned Destiny, which he didn't know she knew about, but which wasn't exactly surprising. Girls flocked to the bathroom in herds, and they talked about everything. "Destiny's just as normal, Con. You're minimizing us normal people and our extremely common and excellently dull existence." Adrian got a wink, like he and Patrick shared some secret about common girls. Though Patrick didn't think Adrian knew a thing about girls, common or otherwise.
He had no idea was anosmia was, but he laughed anyway. Hah, hah, Patrick absolutely knew what that meant, of course he did.
Food was a big thing for a growing boy, and Patrick shut his mouth long enough to pile his plate high. He listened about Newt and Newt's brother, and he listened while Con talked about the facility and Webster's machines. The former, Patrick thought he could converse about comfortably, despite not knowing any of the players. But the facility and experiments, that left Patrick feeling like a fish flopping on a dock. So, dude just dug into his food and listened.
