Re: [Quicklog - Dick and Misha - Batmansion]
[Dick looked sheepish, and his stomach turned and flopped a bit. There was a time, a time he could almost remember clearly, that he could find anyone in his family and tell you where they were and what they were doing. But he didn't know the answer. And the idea of posting and asking who was in his house, and where anyone was, well it was embarrassing and he didn't suppose Misha knew any of that. Because Misha didn't know Dick at all. And didn't know that Dick was supposed to know all of this already. Didn't know that Dick was supposed to have his thumb on the pulse of everything, and have his shit (and everyone else's) together. And that he was supposed to be able to answer simple questions, and not get tongue tied and twisted up at the thought of asking who was who in his house.
She he steeled himself and smiled through it, the way Dick tended to do when things were real bad and ignored the fact that the more he panicked on the inside the foggier his brain wanted to get.] I think - [He paused. A sister maybe? No. Shit.] I can't remember.
[He smiled. Again. This time apologetic. He didn't go into detail, leaving it there but, not angry. It was what it was. He didn't know how else to explain or describe it. He didn't know how to get himself out of those awkward moments. But he knew if he tried too hard to remember, and fought with himself, he'd wear himself down and forget even more, and his brain would become mush and before too long he'd forget where he was for a spell and then poor Misha would witness a lot more than Dick forgetting if he had more family in town or not.]
