Re: [flash/gwen at the facility]
Flash laughed when Gwen said she should have timed him and he shrugged like it wasn't really that impressive. He liked showing off a lot, but when she actually looked fucking impressed it made him bashful as all hell. He watched her step into the closet, darkness falling across her shoulders as she turned around and looked at him. To be fucking honest, Flash hadn't had anyone look at him that way in a long time. There was flirting with people who worked at the Facility or whatever, but generally speaking his life as a soldier wasn't anything fucking like high school. All the attention, praise and adoration from girls was a fucking thing of the past.
And, this wasn't just any fucking girl either. Gwen made him nervous as shit and a lot of stuff he was sure about over the summer seemed so fucking far away. It felt like starting over and he wondered how many times they'd have to do that if the League ever found Gwen and took her away again. Flash reminded himself that he probably wasn't long for this world, anyway, and that his core mantra was to do what he felt was good and right in the moment. Even if he was fucking unsure of where shit was going to go with Gwen, she felt good here and that was going to have to be fucking enough.
He followed after her and shut the door with a lopsided grin. The darkness overtook the small space and he reached for her. Hands on her hips as he pulled her against him. He didn't bother opening his eyes, letting his hands explore the curve of her waist. Flash tilted forward, breath warm on her lips and then he kissed her slowly, exploring how she made him feel in the cover of darkness.
