Re: call: connie/patrick
Time is- time is fickle. It's almost like how the ocean works if you change the temperature just a little or add a bit more salt than should be there. The ocean can tell and it'll fight and destroy and ruin. Time is the same way. If you jump forward, time doesn't care! Nothing has happened there yet, welcome! If you jump backwards oh THAT is a big mistake. Time says, this has already been decided! And, you want to bring your eraser and pen to ruin it all? Time does not think that's a cool thing to do. [Then she gets worked up, but it's a cute scientist thing. Like ideas are flowing and theories are bursting.] That's why your time thingy is fickle. It's a fickle thing! Because time is deciding what you can go back and do! It's not up to you! What if science is a thing that time totally ignores?
[And then she takes another drink because elves in a c- semi-circle sounds like magic. Connie has only a passing relationship with magic. Two ships in the dark.] First of all, what did I tell you about calling women the b-word? [She's teasing. Mostly.] Did they see you?
