Re: log: flash/felicity hang at the lab
Being in better books than Marta wasn't a hard line to cross. It was a thin line, and there was an ocean between there and the rest of the crowd that hovered around Flash like a high school yearbook slideshow of people who actually liked one another. That grin? Felicity didn't think it was anything but a mask. She let the test-tube go as her head was fuzzy enough and she let her head fall back against the tank.
"Your sister," she said with accuracy she knew she wouldn't have for the second half, "Likes to be given attention. I like attention, I just know how to get the kind of attention I want." And if Marta was stupid enough not to know how to ask about a brother like this one? Felicity thought she was dumber than she looked.
"I am," clarity over the deal she was making. "But I want him financed enough that he goes away somewhere and is wealthy enough not to worry about. And the deal?" She cracked open an eye, and she had complicated feelings about her father, but not his deals, "The deal would have followed me here. They don't give up, when a contract has been made. His old contacts, they still hang around."
