Re: log: flash/felicity hang at the lab
She was exceptional at looking like a secret wasn't news at all. She didn't flinch now, not for a plan that had been cooked up with no help whatsoever. Aegis hadn't been pulled in to help, just Flash and whoever else was on the guest-list and whether that was because Aegis wouldn't have loaned the muscle or it just didn't care didn't matter. They'd run it alone and that? That was fine. On the other hand, ten guards said Gwen was hot property. She didn't know anything about clones, she'd skipped most of science class until she'd flunked out but guards went with money and Felicity knew about that. Maybe Aegis would put up a fight now she was on the team. In the meantime? Flash didn't look like he'd fought a battle and won, even if Gwen was free.
"You and Reaper." She corrected him with a smile thrown to the alien in the water and she got it now, why he was babysitting the alien late at night. Guilt. Did aliens come before girlfriends, or vice versa? It wasn't an issue of Cosmo that was going to hit the stands anytime soon. "And you're worried it isn't enough. Aegis will roll over and let the League at her? It's a fortress in here, Flash. And even if we're not going out for Indian food? I was reliably informed we're meant to be on a team."
Which was expanding, and wasn't that interesting? Either Aegis had a heart or it thought something bigger was brewing. "Or are you thinking you should have gotten her out of there differently?"
