Nah, he wasn't worried. Place over the bad side of town, it catered to folks who liked it cheap rather than good. He had half the hookers in, late about the same time as the bar spilled over and left the cops on his doorstep looking for burgers so Nick figured business could spread itself out, make itself comfortable. Only part he minded was keeping the place looking good for the Sunday brunch crowd. They came from the Neighborhood after church and made a goddamn killing.
"Methhead?" Nick tilted his head. Hadn't seen a helluva lot of signs of it in town. Town was small, he wasn't working this place but you got to know the signs easy. "That's doing business in this place?" He didn't want to be interested, he wasn't interested but if you opened late and you left kids on shift, you made it business.
"You didn't try the burger before you started customizing it." Caesar was good, which was why he got paid and he got sick time off and the rest of it. "You familiar with the movie theater, Briar?" He was getting distinct impressions that the two women would be combustible.
