Bare bones indeed, a practical skeleton of a thing. That was alright, sometimes the beginning was the best place to start (though not always). She hadn't got to work on a chair in damn near. Well, five years? That one was flamboyant, this one wouldn't. It would be a fun challenge, or at least a low key way to keep her fingers busy.
When a bit of the hot coffee splashed on her hands she did little more than raise an eyebrow at it before following his gaze around the place. The tail end of the lunch rush was left, and there was a noticeable lack of people in uniform bustling around. Ah, well maybe that was why he was grumpy. Briar raised her coffee to her lips and only just saved herself from getting it up her nose as she snorted from his comment, "Unfortunately." Or maybe he was just grouchy by default, and those people were fun too.
"Nope, came to sit here and look pretty." She flashed him her cheesiest, widest smile before relaxing, "Aye. Cheeseburger, no pickles, no mustard please."
