Re: Diner Escape: Gwen, Flash (+Jason & The League NPCs)
Gwen was acting super casual, but her senses were tingling all over the place. She knew (to the second) when Flash (and Reaper) got near the diner. She could sense the movement of the guards out back, and she knew when Reaper landed on the roof. The guards going down was also totally noted, and she was already undoing her apron (and grabbing her coat) by the time the liquid ink pooled in the kitchen. She didn't waste time looking out into the diner proper, and she was super sorry for anyone who was going to be waiting on their drink forever, but it was way safer for them this way.
Coat and mittens on, she turned off the stove as Flash (and Reaper) re-materialized. The cook was out front with his girlfriend, like he always was between orders, so there was no one in the back but them. "There's more of them, but I can't tell how many, and I can't provide exact coordinates," she whispered back. She had considered bringing her machinery, which allowed her to read heat signatures, but it had seemed a bad idea. Anything that read the area around them could easily be used to find them, and all her stuff was cobbled together and totally not secure. Ergo, the messenger bag she secured across her body had essentials, but nothing that could be used to electronically trace them.
She definitely looked super worse for wear, but she was also way happy to see them, even if it was under stressful circumstances. "Hi," she added, and she wasted time on a super quick glomp of a hug, before rocking back onto her sturdy heels. "We should go wide, to the east, even if it's off the main path. It's more wooded, and it-" She didn't know how to explain, but she didn't waste too much time trying to figure it out. "They're furthest away from that point." She knew Flash would believe her. Unlike Perry, he totally wouldn't stand there and argue with her about it.
