The woman seemed amiable enough, and he hardly expected her to say anything other than that everything was 'good'. Not that he doubted her, however, baking wasn't his area of expertise but everything certainly did smell good. "That makes my decision trickier." Bruce smiled again, just as polite, as though testing it out. Relearning proper social etiquette. He supposed he could have come back tomorrow—different choices—but he was here now, and he'd prefer not to leave empty-handed. Perhaps it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but here, at this moment, to him—it did.
