Re: Capital Rooftops: Cat & Sasha
If asked, Sasha would have said that heartache was a beautiful thing, because it meant she had something that she had loved enough to cause that sort of hurt. And if asked about that? Sasha would never admit to being jealous of that heartache, but on some deeply hidden level, she was. It was easier to be detached. Stronger. Less exploitable vulnerabilities. But it was lonely, and Sasha didn't want her sister to feel that pain anymore. And maybe if she was a little less stubborn, Cat would find the cure for that heartache.
"Only because you're my sister." Sasha would be fine. She was always fine. Survival wasn't a problem. Well, minus one night in Haiti. This town? This was a piece of cake. And stealing a car? It was a great way to bond, to push the rest of the nonsense out of the way and let that adrenaline take over. Whatever arguments happened were all on Sasha anyway. They should really be stealing a car for Cat.
Sasha grinned as Cat made her leap and she waited only a moment, taking that second to glance longingly up at the night sky, before starting off behind her sister.
