Re: in-person: connie/patrick
[Patrick crossed his arms and watched her attempts to grow with very deliberate consideration. He even tapped his chin with his finger, considering. But all that pretending only lasted until she looked up at him with those eyes, so much more interesting and weird than his own rheumy, blue-gray ones. He laughed like she hung the moon, and he mussed her white-blonde hair when she patted his shoulder. Patrick was affectionate as anything, and that came from being raised with her.] Three millimeters, sis, but go easy on the QVC. You'll bankrupt us. [He winked playfully.]
I love what you've done with the place. [Patrick didn't love the B&B, so the comment was tongue-in-cheek. He preferred stuff that he didn't perceive as being magical, because he was the squibbiest of squibs. But it was warm inside, which was a boon after standing outside, and he knew his sister loved this place. And Patrick loved animals, so the sugar glider made any discomfort he felt at being in the weird house melt away.
He walked up to the cage, and he had to bend over to see the sugar glider. The sugar glider was amazing, and he looked up at his sis with a young smile that was precisely the one he gave her every time he begged for a puppy when they were kids.] Is he friendly, or will he lose it if I pull him out? I heard they're really attached to their person. And, hey, let it be known that I'm shocked my sis named her sugar glider after a lizard-man thing from Mass Effect. [He gave her a thumbs up, and he was pulling her chain with the "lizard-man" thing.]
