Sonrisa: Sam A & Cris M
He didn't know how long he slept. It came on him in a crash, black-mouthed, bottomless, the gums of reality receding from the gray, broken teetha his mind ugly. He tried to stay awake, to keep an eye on Sam as she worked, and it'd worked for a lil while. He'd gotten an energy drink from his place when he got her pills, but even with that washing down throat cold, he hadn't made it more than maybe thirty minutes after his call with Lou. It was like after everything that happened, his body and his brain, they just couldn't take it no more, and they shut the fuck down, collapsing him where he laid curled 'round Sam from behind, her spine against his belly and his cheek on his bicep. He had his knees up against her thigh and a hand on her back that slowly dropped away. The knuckles of the hand outstretched, a sprig from under his head, were raw, bruises deeper, but not too bad, all things considered. Paint flecked him, sure, shirt and sweats he'd changed into, in black hair, some just underneath the wreatha his eyelashes.
And he slept still, unmoving, just outta it.
He didn't know for how long though, huh? It sucked him under, and by the time he finally stirred, his arm ached, bloodless, fingers cold and blanched, numb, and his fucking head hurt. He woke in small stages, that black easing to gray, his knees butting closer to Sam's thigh as he tried to curl in on himself, unawarea where he was. Gray to white, and he opened his eyes on Sam as she mashed that brush against stretched canvas, the linea her leg following his vision. His throat was painful and dry, eyes sticky, and he sniffed once as he moved onto his elbow on the bedda blankets over that paint-mottled floor. Tired and dragging, his gaze lit upon the canvases already done. Not wanting to scare her, he gave her a small, "Hey," before he slid his palm up her spine and drew it down in circles.
He did that for a minute, huh? Just to see if she would respond. He laid back down, ear to bicep, watching her. He left offa her back and tucked hair behind her ear.
