[Deliveries (Cat C, Janus A, Matt D, Atticus M, Claire J, PJ R) & news] [Delivery to Cat C, at the Mean-Eyed Cat] [A first edition of "The Colossus" is delivered wrapped in brown paper and twine. There is no note, save for the name Steve McRory inscribed on the inside cover of the book in fountain ink of an old, old make. (There are notes and underlines made throughout the poems.) The key to his bike is tucked inside.]
[Delivery to Janus A, at the B&B] [An early printing of A Rumor of War. The name Steve McRory is scribbled on the title page, along with the year 1977. It is left on Janus' bed at the B&B, unwrapped.]
[Delivery to Matt D, at the Mean-Eyed Cat] [In a manila envelope, addressed to 'Teddy,' a handful of worn photographs are left under the front door of the Mean-Eyed Cat. They all show two young men, some from overseas, and a couple from before, but none from earlier than 1935. There's a note, but it's hard to make out, as old as it is. But, the S of Steve is visible, if one looks hard enough. Maybe it's an apology? Torn from a diary or sketchbook, circa 1944. There's also an old sketch stuck between photographs, but whether it's meant to be there or not is questionable. The newer ink drawing is likely intentional, as it's dated early October, 2016.]
[Delivery to Atticus M, at the B&B carriage house] [An unpublished letter from Viktor Frankl, and a second editon (1947) copy of ...trotzdem Ja zum Leben sagen (Man's Search for Meaning) are both delivered to the carriage house, wrapped in brown paper and nothing more. There is no name or inscription.]
[Delivery to Claire Johnson] [The entirety of McRory's Holmes collection is sent to Claire's home in the neighborhood. There is no note.]
[Delivery to PJ R, at Ramsey's Rapid Repairs] [An old sketch, done in ink, is left tacked to the front door in an envelope. There is no note.]
[News: AEGIS group/rumor] [To the AEGIS group, the news is given only in passing, and briefly at that. Captain McRory has been pulled from the team, as he is needed elsewhere. Rumor spreads through Repose at large via a small, but well-connected group of older women who live at the B&B. The strapping Steven was seen with men flanking him and boxes in hand. He was checked out of the B&B by a third party and entered a dark-windowed SUV with the men accompanying him. His bike remains parked outside the B&B. He is not heard from again and his phone has been disconnected. Every post under his name on the forums remains, but no one would be stupid enough to try to pretend Repose didn't happen.]
