Re: phonecall: frank/connie
I know I'm not wrong. [Connie said and she nodded her head. She knew she was a bad judge of character sometimes, but Frank came and saved her. That had to mean something. And the sandwich was good, so that was an added bonus.] Did someone get hurt? [She asked and looked up at him, electric blue eyes curious. Maybe she didn't want to know the answer to that question, but Connie had a monster living behind her ribcage, too. A real one that didn't just come out at Halloween parties. Not that she'd tell him about that. Not yet, anyway.
But, when it came to what was real and what wasn't she just shook her head.] As humans, we'll never understand true reality. We can only comprehend so much and thus the world is a mystery to us all. This is something you must accept. I got lucky at the party. The girl I met protected me from my worst enemy. She didn't even make fun of me for being a complete loser. [Connie said it like it was true and then took a bite of her sandwich.] But, what if she wasn't real? What if I was running around the party with a ghost? Or my own imagination? Does that make her less significant?
[Connie shrugged and then turned to look towards the counter.] I wasn't sure if you were ever going to show up, so I kept a constant supply of Franks around just in case. [Connie smiled and then got her feet, took a step to make sure she wasn't wobbly (mission accomplished) and then walked over to the counter where there was a big cookie jar. She took out a small plate, put some cookies on it and then brought it back over to the table.] As a thank you for finding me before either me or Thane goes hungry.
