But don't tell Cris to hire him back out of guilt. Olive doesn't seem to be an easy person to get on with, and if having him there will add more stress to your life, it's not a good idea.
Claire is going to Rome to try to find a solution that doesn't kill me. I'm responsible for the death of at least one person in the Capital. The deity started itself a new cult of appreciation there in the last year, without my going to the city, and I have no idea how. I think I'm going to try to find somewhere I can go where everyone will be safer, though that's a difficult issue when I don't know how it affected those people in the capital from this distance. But I've been thinking about it, and I can't keep trying to go on as if everything is normal. I'd like to, but it's not about what I'd like anymore.
