Re: Gwen R/Cris M
It is, to a point, I think. I dunno. We talk cause we're social, cause we need other people and cause a parta needing other people, being around em, we gotta learn to communicate. It is in our best interest to find the closest, most precise language, but what I'm saying is we ain't real good at it, cause it's real complex. And not just that, halfa communication relies on being listened to and you got no control over that or interpretation.
Sometimes, gringita, what you think don't matter so much. You know what I mean? Sometimes, what the person is actually asking for is just validation, not for what you think, and sometimes that's more important than how you actually feel bout their shirt. What I'd say bout Marta not liking cops is she's had bad experiences somewhere. That she's coming at it, not from a position where it's about her not wanting to hear the truth, so much as her truth being that cops are bad guys, that going to em can be dangerous. Statistics might make you feel better, which is fine, but for a lotta people, that don't actually assuage em. Does that make sense? If you hadta wager a guess, as to why somebody wouldn't wanna hear an opinion on your shirt, what would you guess?
