Re: May's Cottage: May L / Gwen R
May wasn't certain exactly which part of what she'd said had the effect to make Gwen nod. And she was glad to at least not need to argue that particular point. Gwen accepted the difference in approaches easier than many people would have. And May found that interesting, though not something she was going to currently delve into.
It was also interesting that, for as old as this girl looked, no one had ever before spoken to her of evil. Even people who weren't raised in any particular religious belief had feelings about evil. "Alright. Another topic, and I promise they all come together eventually." She paused, taking another sip of her tea before setting the thick-walled mug back on the table. Though the state of her home had changed in only minor ways through the years, giving it a timeless, old-fashioned sort of feel (and the 'visiting room' more than the rest of the house), she'd done her share of keeping up with certain new concepts as the years passed, and she'd taken the time to think about the world and the things she could do - the things she had encountered.
"Say that there's a certain type of energy in the universe." Her eyebrows went up, intense, like she was telling Gwen that she expected the girl to follow along. And it was simple, so simple, a theory she'd come up with on her own. "Now, most people and things can't, for the most part, affect it except through coincidence. But there are a fraction of people and things who can. Some of them use the energy only for things that heal and help and create. Some of them use that energy to keep a sort of balance, as much as they can. And some of them use that energy only for chaos and hurt..." She looked at Gwen, waiting for some sign of understanding on where she was leading them.
