[Destiny didn't need sympathy for any deep-end introductions. She'd had a first day in Hookerville too before, so anything beyond that had to be less awkward and nerve wracking. Besides, Destiny was naturally good with people, and particularly strangers. The last couple of years had made sure of that. Nick gave his instructions, and Destiny tightened her apron strings just a little more before finding pen and paper secure in both hands.
It was not like she was wearing any real kind of uniform, aside from that apron. The girl was basic, busted up sneakers that had a tendency to squeak a bit with each step. Her socks didn't match, but weren't brightly colored enough to be too obvious unless one was picking her apart. It was cresting into fall now, but she was still summer denim and tank tops. A ponytail set as high as her hopes when she walked up to the man and kid.
The kid got a genuine grin, the man got some second nature flirting.] Hi, honey. See a table you like? [The pair settled on a booth against the windows, and Destiny leaned into their table with conversation and the kind of friendliness that might have been better suited to strip clubs, but she really only knew one kind of customer service. After several minutes, she came bouncing back to Nick with the order on the notepad.]
They both want burgers and fries. [She seemed real pleased with herself.]
