Re: Library: Liam & Sasha
Liam was a lot of things. Sweet, friendly, polite as anything. But he was, unfortunately, several shades of oblivious. So she was smiling, and she had that bare shoulder, but Liam? He was just worried about getting her that damnable library card. "Maybe just a little," he commented in answer to her question about it being obvious. "But I've seen worse, believe it or not." Maybe he had, maybe he hadn't, but that was hardly here or there. It was friendly conversation as she filled out the form and he brought up the new user screen on that ancient computer.
A bit of typing, a little bit of clicking, and then his attention was on her as she paused on the form. "If he comes in, I'll make sure he knows that I've already helped you out with one, then. Though I have to say a library card is a strange Christmas gift." Liam grinned, watching the tap of the pen against her lips before he drew his gaze back to her eyes, quiet for just a moment as he thought over her words.
Was she... flirting? Or was he just reading entirely too much in her smile. There was a half-shake of his head as he straightened, a hand pushed back through his hair, a nervous gesture. "We like to have one. Just in case. Just in case we need to contact you. About a book you want. Or. Something." It wasn't quite a stammer, but the words were definitely halting as he looked back at the computer, poking at a key that did nothing and trying to appear professional.
