Re: log: cat/eddie at the carnival
Eddie rolled his hand with a little bow at her compliment; the motion very subtle and gentlemanly. If she asked, he thought the green was more for him than other people. It used to be the other way around, bright greens to shock a city in black and blues. And, anyway, May didn't seem like the type who was all that attracted to men in flashy suits. He was in a take me as I am kind of mood lately and for once didn't have the insight to see that May was the one who helped fish that out of him. Maybe wearing green was his way of letting her in.
"If that were the case, most people who use the internet would be dead by now." He smirked and wasn't all that surprised by her tone. Eddie didn't start off with much respect for life and while he worked very hard while in the family to preserve and save as much as he could, it was more for the shadows than it was for him. The family wanted him to be good so he was good. Now that there wasn't much of a family to speak of, worrying about loss of life wasn't exactly high on his list of priorities. "Sasha can take care of herself." He agreed and then tilted his head to the side like that wasn't all. "But, I'm worried something isn't right. I don't have anything to base it off of, unfortunately. It's just a hunch." Eddie's hunches? Tended to be right on the money.
When the flower went up in flames, he swore he could smell evil. Reminded him of when a clown he knew set fire to the dilapidated funhouse to get a certain shadow's attention. Evil, in its purest form and he didn't hold his nose to it. He gave a warm laugh and then turned to look at her with a little mischievousness. "Well, it's a good thing I've got this-" He reached into his jacket and pulled out a plastic baggie that unfurled to reveal a few tightly rolled joints inside. He was less of a hedonist than Cat, but he did play around with drugs when Stephanie wasn't looking. Especially towards the end. Usually, stolen prescription drugs that put his brain on idle were his choice, but he liked how pot made everything feel huge. After having his circuits fried, he asked the clowns for their stash so he could feel like his gears were running again.
