Re: quicklog: mere/eddie fortune telling
[It was surprising how much she really enjoyed the carnival. The hustle and the bustle of the people who worked there, the minds that were so different, a constant hum in the background that she had become almost comforted to. Even though she lived alone, even though she didn't work closely with many of the others, that constant hum made it feel as though she was never really alone.
And of course, a visit from the owner was always enjoyable. The air was full of cold, but the inside of the tent was warm, dark and inviting, the smell of incense burning in the background, just enough to tinge the air with something a little more 'exotic'. Meredith was just getting going for the day herself, dressed in flowing charcoal pants and a shirt of emerald green. The bandages were gone for the moment, her unseeing eyes visible when she looked up at the sound of Eddie's voice. That calm mind hadn't alerted her as early as it normally would, and for once, she was slightly surprised.]
You hardly have to thank me, Eddie. It's always good to have you visit. [She could smell the tea, inviting in its warmth, and she held a hand out to take one of the cups, fingers winding around it for a sip.] You keep spoiling me like this, and I'm going to start expecting it. [It was said with a smile, warm and teasing.]
