Re: [log: antique store - daniel/claire/louis]
Daniel appeared out of the dark just before Louis managed to close the door. He was not hiding what he was from either of them, and he appeared out of a pocket of silence and a piece of blackness, the edges of his face hard slashes of pale, frightened white in the fading mess of a spring night.
He looked as if something was on his heels, his shoulders tightly rounded, his coat (fine buttons and dark length) wrapped around him like a shield. Except he did not look behind, nor exclaim warnings or threats. He simply accelerated through the door, just behind Claire and coming so close that his breath ruffled her hair before he circled around her to put his back to the wall and his front toward the door. He seemed to stave off a shudder by simply not moving at all, and his eyes were very wet and black.
After a moment his nostrils flared and he looked at the other two, taking them both in at once. "I forgot to bring the tea."
