Re: jude & connie
This little corner of a Rockwell painting had more than enough to contend with but lemurs, Jude assessed his companion for the evening with particular smile for her brand of off-beat, would make it interesting, and oh, entertainment, his soul went pitter-pat after it.
"I mean," he watched the couple lock together on the far side of the bonfire, and turned politely toward Connie, ever the gentleman. "It endures, even when it's all set to fail. It works around things and through things." And he was fond of it, of course, Jude's fondness for all the ways people were soft and gentle and inward. And the smile, that was a little set at angle rather than sweet, but it meant the same and Jude grinned in return.
"I would imagine you are queen of the uncannies," he said gravely. "With a misplaced crown for the festivities this evening."
