Re: Quiet Home: Misha & Oliver
See, now, this was what Misha liked 'bout being earthbound. The way Oliver changed his mind unexpected, that step forward that came with the dark-haired boy saying they could kiss. Least Misha thought that was what Oliver was saying, was that kissing was allowed real fine, and all so there wouldn't be lying to Jude. And Misha respected that some, the desire not to lie out full to someone you cared for. But, truth stood, Misha was surprised. Up in Heaven, when he was assigned to folks, he was never surprised 'bout a thing. There weren't any mysteries when you could crawl right on into someone's head and learn everything 'bout them. It was tormenting as could be, too, doing that and not being able to get close to someone in any real way.
This, Misha thought, was delightful as kittens.
Misha leaned his hands back against the table, so there wasn't a bit of reaching happening as Oliver approached, and he looked at the other boy light, as if they were talking 'bout shaking hands brief. "I'll keep my hands where they are, if you'd rather, and you can just come kiss me quick. Is that easier? Or is it better if I do it?" Misha asked, not having a damn clue anymore if this boy liked boys or girls or anything at all. Misha knew plenty well that bad things lurking in someone's past, they made things like this hard, and there were all kinds of coping.
Misha, he just coped by doing every damn thing that'd been done to him. That worked real fine for Misha.
"I'm not real good at lying, but it ain't lying, is it? If we kiss?" Real simple logic, but sometimes that was all that was needed. "We done everything else I said. We talked art and music, and we spent time together real alone. I can say I like you without it being a lie any, remember?"
