If Eddie knew old souls, there was no way around noticing her age. Even when she didn't look quite as old, there was still something about her... And if he'd asked, she would have told him that it was no harder or easier than any other kid she knew. And the answer would be the truth.
She'd never quite bought into the whole Heaven/Hell/Purgatory thing (for obvious reasons), but she knew what they were, knew the concepts. She let it settle into her mind before she hummed softly to herself. "An' you're so certain it's purgatory and not just... an in'ermission?"
One eyebrow spiked up when he pointed at her, the rest of her expression flat. "You're being silly." She didn't even need a reason to tell him that, though it was hard to say the words without smiling. Instead, she drank the last of her tea (save for the very last dregs that were more leaf residue than anything else) and set the cup carefully back onto the table near Eddie's.
