Re: Eddie's House: May / Eddie
While Eddie was both literally and socially light on his feet, he had an affection for those who stomped. They were a mystery to him. He a man who had to be sly and graceful to simply survive as long as he had. Stomping would have gotten him killed, after all and so those who did it and thrived were an endless fascination. It was even better if they'd soft-shoe with him a little. It made him believe in chemistry between personalities.
"Smart lass." Eddie nodded. "I went back myself a few months ago and it felt empty. I have someone in my family who is going back there now and I don't know if she'll find what she's looking for. I wonder if there's anything for us except for what's ahead or right here presently." He was a notoriously nostalgic man, but lately that was changing. He, like that newly planted flower in his back yard, was trying to grow in new soil.
From the corner of his eye, Eddie could see her disapproval and he knew there was nothing he could do about that. If he wasn't a meddling man, he wouldn't have tried so hard to draw her out. "I'm not as bad as I was before." He told her, even though he knew she'd act like she didn't care one way or the other. "Does this mean if I see something strange, you'll let me gossip to you about it?"
