Re: Eddie's House: May / Eddie
Electronics were the safest thing Eddie had. They were like the trees to May, maybe even the dirt. The buzz of a purple screen over his eyes or the scroll of code made him feel and see things bigger than him as they wrapped around his being. Close, comfortable. Numbers and figures weren't as frightening as people. Now, Eddie was older and he didn't need the electronics as much. He didn't find himself dipping into a techo coma for weeks inside of a bomb shelter he called a computer room. He didn't need it as much, but it was still there to give him an easy comfort.
He smiled at the face she made, the way she leaned away from him. He'd never try to get her to like computers, even if it would be slightly amusing to see her try to not hate his server room. Eddie dusted himself off and made his way back inside. The tea he was preparing was from Ethiopia. Everything about it was sweet spice (green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon) that could burn the tongue and even though it wasn't traditional to add a little milk, he couldn't help himself. A spoonful of milk was enough to make it creamy, so the spicy was more pleasant instead of overpowering.
Eddie washed his hands a couple times, grabbed some ginger snaps and made his way back with the tea on a tea tray made of silver that hadn't been shined in ages. The tray and the tea cups looked like they had been stolen along with his robe. If she looked closely, she could see the BW engraved on the bottom of the cups.
He grinned at her when he returned, happy to have company and enjoy a pleasant tea time. It wasn't something he got to do much anymore. "So, I have no idea how you like your tea. I know we haven't enjoyed any together and in an effort to not mess up our first tea time- I made sure you have everything you need." He over-worried. It was a normal thing for Eddie. "Here we have the tea, cream and some sugar if needed. Now, I like a little cream in this tea since it's very spicy, but I would believe you are smooth enough that you don't need any." He set the tray down on the table and then cracked open the box of ginger snaps.
