Re: Eddie's House: May / Eddie
"I know, in earth years I'm just a baby. But, think about earthworm years!" He swept his hand out as if to point to the expanse of earth and nature around them. Eddie had been told to slow down before and given a list of reasons why he was this way. He tried to slow down here in Repose, but it was more of a wallowing instead of trying to live in the same space as trees and dirt. "Slow is the same as sinking most of the time." He hoped she understood. "You- I mean gardening doesn't make me feel that way, though." Eddie smiled and it was shy because he didn't have much experience with women like her. May wasn't exactly his type, but that was a good thing.
He teetered forward to look at the thing she put at the bottom of the hole and silently told himself to keep his mouth shut. Don't ask, don't ask, don't ask. Eddie did well, since watching her put the plant in correctly was a good learning experience, but the second she asked him to fill the dirt back in he couldn't stop himself. "What was- oh May you know I have to ask!" He blurted out and pointed at her like she caused this curiosity in him. Not his fault at all. "Was that fairy dust! Did you milk some fairies for that?" He joked, all quick and charming like a shiny coin rolling along the pavement.
Eddie took a handful of dirt, made like he was going to fill in the hole as she instructed and then: "A hint? Please?" He gave her a look like he wasn't going to help unless she told him. Which, of course, was a complete bluff.
