Re: Secondhand Bookstore: Eddie/Emily
[A that particular moment, she didn't care about any consequences for her. She cared that he was alright, and she cared that he was there. And that was about it. Other than the hope that he still cared about her. Which seemed at least a little likely, with the way he'd kissed her and wasn't yet letting her go.
The kiss to her neck earned a tiny little pleased sound from her as she tipped her head away to make it easier for him. The collar of her coat still stood unevenly in the way, but it was easy enough to push and fold back down again. Even being in town for as long as she had, even with the brief and casual touches that came from everyday life, this was different and new. There was heat hidden in his touch along with the warmth, and he wasn't letting go. She thought that she could stand there for forever and not get tired of it.] I don't think so? But I don't know. I'm so... [Human, she almost said, but she could see the movement of someone peeking around the end of the shelf, so she went quiet, shaking her head and then bringing her hand around to cradle along his jaw.] They didn't tell me anything like that. Just that I'm like this until I'm needed to not be. [She whispered it as she stared at him, eyes trailing over his face like she couldn't get enough of just looking at him.]
