Re: log: flash/felicity mission
That little vanishing act? So creepy. It wasn't on a par with the goblins, because the goblins had climbed up the back of Felicity's spine and sat there making every sense prickle with static electricity, but the Reaper thing sent a shudder shimmying back the other way.
But she didn't have long. With shrieks that would have woken the dead and put them back out again, the goblins came in a hailstorm toward the portal at her back. One reached out to grab at her, and she smacked him sharply with the bat, a crack that sounded like broken bone - but he skidded into the portal anyway, so it wasn't a problem in this dimension.
She didn't want to go and look at what Reaper had done to scare the awful silly whatsoever, but as she smacked the last goblin who came swinging around the hallway and saw her and tried to scuttle in the opposite direction, she shut the door on the portal and felt it close smartly under her hand.
"You know," she said to the open air, waiting for Flash to do whatever it was he did to reconglomerate into a person rather than ooze, "I feel like that went better than expected. Practically a breeze. What hasn't hit us yet?"
