Re: log: flash/felicity mission
He wanted to apologize again, but the look she gave him told him not to. Reminded him a lot of his mom in a bad way. In fact, he was glad that she didn't see him behind the mask because he was staring. See, Flash's mom used to do a thing where she'd get tossed around by one of her dudes and then after they left she'd clean- vacuum or something that made a lot of noise. Then by bedtime she had a smile on her face for little Flash that was perfect. Like the TV taught her how. And, she never went to any prep school, so Flash figured it was just a thing girls had to do for survival. It sucked.
"Riigght." He said with deep sarcasm and then followed her out the door. The hallway was quiet again and the only real noise they could hear was down in the main room where they were mining or collecting or something? "If there's a teleporter, it probably isn't too far away from that room." He whispered, voice too gravely to be picked up by goblin ears. He let her lead the way, guiding them through a darkened, rotting house.
Eventually they came to the back entrance of the mansion that had moldy red carpet and high ceilings. There was equipment set up that looked like an IT room had been dropped in the middle of the floor. The machines were on, blue and red lights reflecting off the metal mirror ceiling. "What's with this guy and mirrors." Reaper grumbled and moved towards the technology. It took only a second for him to find the body. A dead scientist encased in yellow crystal that wasn't at all unlike the glowing shit the goblin was carrying around.
"He could still be alive." Reaper said and then turned to look at Felicity. "Poke around until you find something that looks like a portal. A door. Anything." She was the lucky one, right?
