Re: log: flash/felicity mission
He was surprised how funny she was. Flash had read her file and knew he didn't have a lot in common with the person she was outside of the black boots. Rich girls weren't automatically bad people, fucking no one was, but it was hard to relate to anyone that could pay off his mom's house with a designer bag. That said, he had a feeling she had seen her own fucking share of problems and this thief thing was the result of that. He was comfortable with that kind of motivation, the need to do something crazy. And, he liked her attitude. No screaming. That was a good sign.
"...Chicks." Reaper said with a verbal eyeroll at her comment about accessories. The mix of the alien's seriousness and Flash's sense of humor generated a strange combination. He turned towards the mansion, the fabric of his coat ebbing and flowing as he thought. "We can sneak through the pool room. Double back towards the source of the light." He looked at her, black eyes behind the skull mask. "Let's see what you can do, thief."
He didn't walk so much as float around the perimeter of the house, attaching to shadows like ink bleeding on the page. In the darkness, it was difficult to see where he started and the shadows ended. Stealth stuff wasn't his favorite kind of missions, but Reaper was good at it and could melt into any corner without being detected.
They reached the back wall and he turned into a blob of black goop before passing through the crumbling bricks. He turned, waiting for her and then lead her into the pool house with graffiti on the walls and sludge brewing in the water. "Nice summer home." Reaper whispered and then made a soft chirping noise, like a radar beacon picking something up. "Hiiiide." He whispered and then melted up the wall into a dark corner.
Seconds later, the amber light they had seen from outside appeared. It was a lantern held by a short, angry looking gremlin with giant teeth as an under-bite and disgusting, acne scarred green skin. He yelled something in a language that didn't exist on earth and then started scoping the room out.
