Re: [In-person: PJ and Atticus]
[She sat. There were harder battles to fight later. And she didn't want to fight him anyway.
She sat slowly, her body ached, but she sat. She didn't like it. But she sat.
She was in bad shape, she was afraid her other half would be in worse shape. Maybe physically, but definitely mentally. She worried about what this whole situation would do to her. The two were the same, and different. They certainly had an effect on each other - moods, bodies, experiences. They were all shared and they were the same really. But the effect was different, of course. PJ supposed she, herself, could live her life in relative isolation and not suffer much. It would suck, but she'd survive. But what she was doing to herself, that other part of herself. What she had done was damaging. Confusing. Sure, she had the benefit of understanding necessity. But that didn't change that it was damaging all the same.
And now, on top of it all, she was going to lock her in a cage. Her skin was itching and there was a biting at the back of her mind as if the thing that was beautiful and special about her, the living breathing other part of her she loved, was now trying to escape because of what she was planning to do.
But still she sat.]
I fixed a car this winter and got paid in venison. We should take that out of the freezer when we get there.
