Re: log: gwen/flash at the apartment
"They didn't let you out? Shit, that sucks. I'm sorry, man. I wish I knew before. I wish I wasn't in a coma when everything went down. I know you don't think I should be, but I'm sorry I fucking wasn't there." They were doing good at not touching much, but he reached over and squeezed her arm like it was a mini hug. Not to hard, with enough pressure that she knew he meant it. Flash knew his friends didn't have a problem with him chasing his dream to join the military and be some kind of American badass. He just never had to face down all the consequences for it. Even with his family, who probably thought he was dead at this point.
"Yeah, I don't think she would have noticed unless I did something dramatic. Wasn't like I was pining, I don't do that. Cared more about being her friend and dealing with Reaper shit than romance, honestly." Flash squinted like he was having a hard time remembering all of it. The school bells, the gossip, the daily drama. It wasn't something he was crazy about going over that often. Not because of bad memories or anything, he just always thought he had more important shit to worry about. "Jason didn't see her every day like I did, man. Probably doesn't even think she took shits or farted, you know?" He said with an immature smirk.
"Yeah man you need stars up there. But. Dude, you'll break your dumb fucking head open if you try to bounce. Let me do it or at least buy you a fucking step ladder." He turned to give her a wide-eyed look like she was off her fucking rocker to make her laugh. Then, more seriously (fake seriously, at least) "Are you going to be that nerd who needs to have the stars set up exactly how it is in the sky? Constellations and shit? I will personally move one star a day just to make you crazy."
"Punisher was my hero growing up. He didn't give a fuck man, he just hated bad dudes and cared about good people." Flash pointed to the logo as she touched it. "When I first met Reaper, he tried to mimic that to make me happy. Show he was a friendly, you know? He's a good dude." A dude, not an alien. "And, you are so fucking weird. You're the weirdest and I dig it." He threaded his fingers together and rested them right below his ribcage. He chuckled after a moment and shook his head. "How do I make you feel different?"
Flash made a face like whatever the word 'flounce' was obviously was not manly enough for him. If he was going to run out, it'd be a real macho word like storm or stomp. He would even slam the fucking door or some shit so she knew it was really masculine of him. "Wow, okay." Flash said dryly at her explination (emphasis on the okay to make her crazy) and then laughed when she smacked him in the face. "Dude, you know you can just say you're fucking confused. It's not hard."
