Re: log: gwen/flash at the apartment
She was wearing a shirt with black track pants. Her socks were thick and white, and she wore a white long-sleeved shirt under the green shirt, because she didn't even like seeing her bruises herself. She was nervous enough to consider changing into something that looked less bummy, but she ultimately just pulled her hair out of its messy bun and secured it with a bright green headband. Music was playing, and the apartment was totally clean, if tiny. The electricity was actually on this week! The elephant Perry had won her the week before was perched on a pillow, and Flash's jacket was draped across the foot of the bed.
When the knock came, she totally jumped, despite being fully aware the knock was coming. She wasn't aware of Flash's location during their text conversation, but the town wasn't really big, so there was no reason to have a shocked reaction to a knock on the door. And it was just a knock at the door, right? It was like she told MJ: She didn't think Flash was into her at all. At. All. Negative integers, and she didn't want him to feel weird or bad about that. So, given this, there was no logical reason why a knock should make her jump out of her skin (metaphorically).
"Don't be a fucking idiot," she muttered to herself (only tripping on the expletive a little bit), and she was totally cool when she unfolded herself from the bed and went to let him in. She was equally cool when she tried the locks three times before getting the door open, and she was equally cool when she stood there for like a good five seconds without saying anything (so cool).
She considered a standard greeting, and she tried to think of what MJ would do in this situation (MJ seemed like a really good role model), but, ultimately, she just tipped her head and smiled at him, nose crinkling slightly. "Okay?" She pushed the door open with her back, so that he could walk inside, which was maybe not the most practical way to let someone into an apartment. "Is it better in person? I need to know. You know, for science."
The tiny apartment hid no cadavers. It was perfectly normal and full of nerdy things and nerdy music.
