Did she like those places? Sometimes. But it was the people that made them. That's what she wanted to say. But all the people had left her. She had forgotten to be upset in all the shock of the afternoon. But she had to wait to be upset. It wasn't okay to be upset now. The woman in the car didn't know why, or who she was. "They get cold," she nodded, "But sometimes they were warm too."
She took the bumpy road, slowly, the last thing she wanted was to be changing a tire in this weather, in her attire. On this road. She navigated it slowly and carefully. She wasn't sure no one would recognize it, but no one would recognize it and admit to it she supposed. And again, she didn't care. She'd find a way to make it alright. Sandwiches were the start. This was bigger than sandwiches.
