Re: Arcade: Gwen & Perry
Perry had already gone through the what-ifs and maybe-ifs of his condition. He'd done plenty of layman's research himself, and Gwen might be a whiz but Perry was too, in his own quiet way. He had less interest in the theoretical, and more in the active, and he was less inclined to wonder at the world and more investigate.
"We could block it," he insisted. "Anything with a signal can be blocked, or replicated. It's just a question of how much calculating power needed. And if you're giving off a signal, something is reading it, so we just have to find out what." Perry refused to believe that there was any power that could not be conquered, that there was any puzzle that did not have a solution. Sometimes the solutions couldn't be found quick enough, or they were too complicated to be solved with existing technology, but they did exist. Especially if they were based on existing technology.
"They're going to have to get over it," Perry said firmly, of Flash and Jason, his previous playful mood dropping away as he pushed his heels against the wall and flipped over her head to land lightly on his feet. "It's not going to just happen, a plan. Somebody's got to do something. We can't just wait around for Jason to find a weak spot."
Perry slipped her a sideways glance at the mention of his aunt, and his expression took on a resigned cast. "You could, it's just... she's sort of embarrassed and I don't think she'd want me to just invite people in to take care of her." Pride was a weird thing. Perry didn't want to take it away.
