Gwen liked the small town, but she was super curious about the Capital. It was close. If she went by the donors memories, it was actually closer than Manhattan was to everyone back in high school. There wasn't a subway, and you had to take the bus or have a car (Gwen totally didn't have a car), but she wanted to go out there more, to that place with the super impressive buildings. But, on the flip side, she'd met so many nice people here, and she kind of thought that thing didn't happen much in the anonymity of a big city.
"Sorry. Sorry." She knew that embarrassed smile and evasion of her gaze was because she grabbed his hand, and she hadn't been trying to make things weird.
"The elephant's our enemy, but he's way good at hiding it," she whispered, trying to get back to being lighthearted with him. "I just wanted somewhere you could ask your questions about the Facility. Um, assuming you still want to ask them." Her nose crinkled. "Do you?"
