Re: league lab: gwen/jason/naila
[Jason left, and Gwen wasn't upset about it. She didn't feel that she needed him present to be safe. She'd made a deal with the League on her own, and maybe it was overly trusting of her to think they'd keep their end of it. But she did believe that, and she was super sure she could find a way out of trouble if they didn't keep their end of the bargain.
She slipped into the conversation about majors easily.] I like genetics, but I don't want to do the same thing the donor did. I think it would be good to study something that wasn't precisely the same. [In no small part because the study of genetics had caused this whole mess, and she was wondering how long it would take for the League to try to get that data from her, the process by which she (current she) had been made.] I was thinking I would do the general coursework, and then think about a specialty.
[She shook her head when the scientist produced that light query.] No. They don't want me to be her, so they look for differences and not similarities. [Which was totally true, and which was also totally convenient, since it meant no one was going to storm the League to liberate her, and Gwen absolutely wanted the head scientist to know there was nothing to worry about.]
