Re: carriage house - michael and atticus
Atticus wasn't sure Tethys was in any position to argue. Couldn't be going well for the corporation. Even if both prior incidents were the result of individuals acting alone, they looked bad. Could have no responsibility whatsoever, and the public would still find it hard to believe. Publicly traded stock would be in the shitter. Was potentially a good time to deal. But Atticus left it. Enough heavy stuff on Michael's shoulders for one visit. "Very grown up. Know who to come to when I need to get out of jail in a hurry."
He chuckled when Michael said Janus probably hated the Moody Blues. "Not so sure. Tends to like the same stuff I do. Might surprise you with the Moody Blues. Don't recommend Britney Spears or Taylor Swift. Save those for the wedding." He stood, and she clapped a hand easily on Michael's shoulder. "Will be fine. Even if you are a demon. And I always take care. Not going anywhere." Which wasn't a lie. Atticus was settled in good here. Ghosts or no ghosts, it was where he was going to stay.
He moved past Michael, and he opened the door to usher him out into the warmth. Once the door was closed at Michael's back, Atticus looked up the winding staircase to his rooms. He sighed.
